Helpful Hints Before You List
If you are thinking about putting your home on the market, now is
the time to begin getting it ready to sell. Remember a
house in good shape will obtain a higher price and much
quicker than a house that needs work.

from the your local nursery to be planted in your yard.
Make sure lawns and shrubs are neatly trimmed.

wonders.
- Enhance your home by repairing cracked plaster, fixing leaky faucets,
removing stains in tubs and sinks, etc.
- If any decoration is necessary (especially kitchen), do it now! A total of $100
in paint may increase the selling price by as much as $1000.
- For spiffing
up kitchens & baths, paint rather than wallpaper.
- Tidy up the basement and the garage.
- Remove clutter from rooms especially kitchen counter tops.
- Clean and “dress up” windows; use attractive bedspreads.
- Be sure that all closets are neat.
- Anything you can do to make your house lighter and brighter will help.

costs as well as information concerning any major improvements recently
